The Beginning: A Strange Idea in a Small Room

The idea for Soda Pop K started in 2021 when Kenji Nakamura, a struggling manga artist in Tokyo, decided to create something new. After multiple rejections from publishers, Kenji was tired of hearing, “Your ideas are too weird.” But that weirdness became his strength.

One evening, while sharing soda with his best friend Ayaka Mori, Kenji jokingly said, “What if the soda had powers to fight demons?” They laughed, but the idea stuck. Ayaka, a digital artist and hardcore gamer, saw potential and joined forces with Kenji to bring this bizarre concept to life.
